Recently, a serious incident occurred involving our children at the Early Head Start / Head Start program. Out of respect for the privacy of the child and their family, we will not be releasing specific details at this time.
What we can share is that staff responded immediately and appropriately, notifying the proper authorities and taking swift action to ensure the safety of all children in our care.
Tribal Leadership is deeply concerned and is working closely with the appropriate agencies to explore every avenue to hold the individual responsible fully accountable. Harm of any kind toward our children is unacceptable and goes against everything we stand for as a community.
As this matter remains under investigation, we ask the community to avoid speculation or the spread of misinformation on social media. We must give space for the truth to come forward and for the family to be supported with care and respect.
