OUR PURPOSEOur Mission
The Omaha Tribe Head Start/ Early Head Start will provide quality comprehensive child development services that are family focused. These services include education, health, nutrition, and mental health. Our mission is accomplished by involving parents, and supporting the growth of the provision of a safe, secure, and culturally relevant environment, children served will acquire the skills necessary for school readiness.
Our Services
Our program provides Umonhon culture enrichment, supports parent involvement, and connects families to necessary resources and services.
Every child enrolled in our Head Start program receives dental, vision, hearing, and lead screenings. Children in the program can engage in activities that support their mental, social, emotional, and physical development. Additionally, it seeks to assist families with preschool-aged children in becoming self-sufficient. In all, 101 federally funded seats for ages 3-5 years old school readiness.
Our Early Head Start program serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers under the age of three. We offer low-income infants and toddlers and their families intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services and family support for pregnant women. Three expectant mothers and 48 federally funded seats for ages 6 weeks to 3 years old.
