OUR PURPOSEOur Mission
The mission of the THPO program is to ensure the safety of any and all cultural resources within and outside the boundaries of the reservation line. We attach ourselves to projects and ensure that the construction companies are staying in compliance with section 106, NAGPRA, NEPA, and the NHPA.
The program also has been doing a lot of NAGPRA work as of recent and we are starting to repatriate more and more lost relatives and belongings to the tribe that have been either stolen or lost over time.
Our Services
Our main goal is to protect all cultural resources, not just within our exterior boundaries, but along our ancestral migratory route as well.
Repatriate all cultural resources that are being returned to the tribe from Museums, Collections, and private collections.
