Today, we were honored to welcome US EPA Region 7 Regional Administrator Jim Macy, Immediate Office Division Director Amanda Halstead, General Assistance Program Project Officer Tegan Vaughn, and Mark Hansen from the Public and Governmental Affairs Branch to our Tribal Council and reservation.
Their visit provided an important opportunity to showcase the hard work, dedication, and vision of the Tribe’s Environmental Office. From current environmental projects to future initiatives aimed at protecting our land, water, and natural resources, this visit highlighted the Tribe’s ongoing commitment to creating a healthier and stronger future for generations to come.
We are grateful for the partnership and support from the EPA and appreciate the opportunity to share firsthand the meaningful work taking place within our community. Together, through collaboration and respect, we continue building pathways toward environmental stewardship, sustainability, and Tribal sovereignty.
Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s visit a success!
